“Sustainable, durable and beautiful design that seeks to generate a positive impact on society is my passion”. With these words, JULIETA ÁLVAREZ describes the work she has been doing for more than 10 years as a ceramist, which has led her to design more than 15 collections of jewelry and objects, collaborate with major firms such as Lladró or Ángel Schlesser, and to be exhibited in institutions such as the Museo del Traje.

Passionate about her work, Julieta is fascinated by learning about the craft techniques of different cultures and avant-garde trends. First came mobiles with ceramic pendants, followed by her first jewelry designs such as necklaces, bracelets and rings. And, in addition to a job, it became a very personal way of understanding life: “I am very impatient, I like to see things already, and ceramics imposes its own times, and it is better not to force it. On the other hand, something that is the most complicated and beautiful part of working with clay is the experimentation part, when you are making new pieces you never know what is going to happen. Opening the kiln is always exciting.
